Photographer's Forum 28th Annual Photography Contest

I just wanted to share some exciting news with you all! Photographer's Forum Magazine recently hosted their 28th Annual Photography Contest and I received "Honorable Mention!" YEA! Today I received a copy of their Winter 2007 magazine issue and on page 16, my name is listed as Honorable Mention for a color image! I feel so blessed to receive another Honorable mention after being published in last years Best of Photography 2007 Annual! I submitted a few of my favorite colored wedding images from weddings I photographed last year and will be notified at a later date as too which image will be published in the 2008 Annual. Once I know I'll post that image here to for you to view! Hope you all have a terrific weekend!

Hike For Discovery

Hi everyone! I wanted to share some great information about a really great cause one of my good friends (Felicia) is participating in. It's called the "Hike For Discovery" The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's adventure fundraising program that is raising money to help the Society cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. She's doing this to honor a close friend of hers that has passed away. More than 712,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Felicia will be participating in a rigorous hike in the Grand Canyon on May 19th, 2008. Del Norte Wedding Bridal fair! 2/23/2008

Just wanted to post a quick annoucement that a the Del Norte Fairgrounds in Crescent City will be hosting a bridal show tomorrow Saturday February 23rd from 10:00am to 4:00pm in the main hall! I will be there amoung other local wedding vendors so please do stop by and say hi! I'm told there will be prizes and giveways for those of you who do attend, and a all day fashion show! OSP West 2 Convention

All I can say is, Wow! I just got back from the OSP West 2 convention in Napa Valley, it was so amazing! I learned so much from all the terrific speakers and had such a wonderful time networking with photographers from around the country! Thank you Pixel2Canvas for helping host the event and for coming out to show us your incredible products! I had the greatest pleasure meeting Robin & Bruce of Bellissima Design Solutions and Shaun & Kevin from Kiss wedding books! Robin and Bruce provide outstanding album designing services, for many different types of albums, but I was really excited to hear they will be teaming up with Kiss wedding albums providing templates for their albums! The Kiss wedding albums have this unique simplicity and beauty about them, simple really is "hot." I am pleased to announce that I will be adding Kiss wedding books to my list of wedding products offered to all my clients. Now you'll be able to choose your wedding package based on the type of album your interested in, Asuka Albums or Kiss Albums. Below are some of my favorite images taken over the weekend, it starts off with a beautiful bridal couple at the Vsattui Winery in Napa Valley, then a night shoot in downtown Napa, and lastly a high fashion model shoot at Trefethen Family Vineyard, hope you enjoy!

Greetings everyone!

What a great year this is turning out to be for Melissa Michelle Reflections! I've recently recruited some wonderful new photography assistants for my ever growing business! I'm very excited abut working with each one of them. They each have there own unique and creative skills that I know will be a great benefit to the studio and to my clients! I've also been busy booking weddings & portrait sessions for the 2008-09 year and am looking forward to working with each and everyone of you! Next week I will be traveling to Napa Valley to attend a wonderful photography convention hosted by Open Source Photo! I'm really looking forward to hearing the presentations at OSPWest and participating in the photo shoots. One of the photo shoots will be taking place at Castello di Amorosa winery, which I feel is a breathtaking location and I can't wait to get started photographing there, as well as try out some of there famous wine! I'll post some of the images from the conference when I return.
