Brandy & Garrett's Trash the Dress

Aloha! Here are the images from Brandy & Garrett's "Trash the Dress" session that we photographed in Kauai, Hi! Now for those of you who don't know what Trash the dress is I'll explain. I feel there are two different versions of "Trash the Dress" sessions, there's the Trash the dress session where you go around wearing your dress and take fun beautiful pictures on a different day then your wedding and then there's the "Trashing" the dress session, where you go swimming in a salt water ocean, or lagoon or get mud all over it or even rip it all to shreds.

This session was a little bit of both, we started out shooting at various locations around the Kauai Island such as Spouting Horn and Shipwreck Hyatt Beach and then got wet at Kipu Falls and later ended the session at Poipu Beach in the rain. We all had a great time and didn't even mind the slips and falls we had in the mud and rain, the locations were defiantly worth it! Although I don't recommend doing this when your 6 months pregnant, it was a little challenging for me.. but with the help of my great assistant Amber and this awesome couple everything went smoothly! Garrett & Brandy's Wedding!

Meet Brandy & Garrett from Washington State whom were married in Kauai, Hi!

Amber and I had an amazing time photographing this energetic couple and their fun wedding party! The Ceremony location was breathtaking at Lumahai Beach and there reception was equally as nice on Anahola beach. The full moon provided us a great backdrop with the ocean behind this happy couple. We also did a trash the dress session with Brandy and Garrett the following day at various locations around the island. Those images are truly amazing and there are so many that I'm going to post another blog to share those with you all! Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Hollis for having Amber and I be apart of your special day! Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving!

My family and I have many things to be thankful for this year. We're expecting our second child this coming March, we were lucky enough to have family drive up from Southern California for the holiday weekend and I'm thankful for all my wonderful clients that have kept me happily busy this year! What a busy month this has been for me! I recently traveled to Kauai, HI to photograph Brandy & Garrett's Wedding and do a Trash the Dress session with my assistant Amber!
