John and Holly's Wedding

Congrats to Holly & John who were married on June 27th!

This lovely couple was married at Pamplin Grove outside of Carlotta, among the majestic redwood trees, surrounded by their family and friends from near and far. The couple honored their ancestors with a special table showcasing marriages of generations past. I really enjoyed viewing the old photographs marking their past generations marriages. It's what I love to do, photograph those important moments for future generations to see. (Images of the photos and table are in the slide show link below.) The ceremony took place under a large redwood tree and afterwards we went down to the river for some photos. Later the reception was catered by Comfort of Home Catering and the guests dined on the delicious food under the redwood trees. Amber and Ed's Trash The Dress Session

Another trash the dress session, this time with Amber and Ed! Amber and Ed who were married at Oak Meadows in Temecula wanted to do a Trash the Dress session at Lo Jolla Beach. Now for those of you who don't know what Trash the dress is I'll explain. I feel there are two different versions of "Trash the Dress" sessions, there's the Trash the dress session where you go around wearing your dress and take fun beautiful pictures on a different day then your wedding and then there's the "Trashing" the dress session, where you go swimming in a salt water ocean, or lagoon or get mud all over it or even rip it all to shreds.

This session was more of the safer version although they did venture into the ocean and came out sandy and soaking wet. Although the weather wasn't as sunny as we would have liked, it turned out to be a great evening and I had a lot of fun "trashing" the dress and shooting with them. Amber & Eduardo's Wedding

Congratulations to Amber & Ed whom were married at Oak Meadows located in the wine country of Temecula, CA! The bride and groom were surrounded by their friends and family at this beautiful venue and danced the night away. Their wedding planner Annette of A Classic Touch of Events helped make the day run smoothly and their florist Sheri's Flowers provided beautiful bouquets and decorations and their beautiful cake was designed by Pila's Pantry. We had such a wonderful time working with this amazing couple and their energetic wedding party. Thanks Jessica and Luke for assisting me on this beautiful wedding, it was great working with you two! Brandy & Garrett's Trash the Dress

Aloha! Here are the images from Brandy & Garrett's "Trash the Dress" session that we photographed in Kauai, Hi! Now for those of you who don't know what Trash the dress is I'll explain. I feel there are two different versions of "Trash the Dress" sessions, there's the Trash the dress session where you go around wearing your dress and take fun beautiful pictures on a different day then your wedding and then there's the "Trashing" the dress session, where you go swimming in a salt water ocean, or lagoon or get mud all over it or even rip it all to shreds.

This session was a little bit of both, we started out shooting at various locations around the Kauai Island such as Spouting Horn and Shipwreck Hyatt Beach and then got wet at Kipu Falls and later ended the session at Poipu Beach in the rain. We all had a great time and didn't even mind the slips and falls we had in the mud and rain, the locations were defiantly worth it! Although I don't recommend doing this when your 6 months pregnant, it was a little challenging for me.. but with the help of my great assistant Amber and this awesome couple everything went smoothly!
